ABOUT THE ARTIST

 

 

Gerry has been drawing and painting a wide variety of subjects in a numerous mediums since the age of eight.. His work now reflects the thousands of hours of practice, dedication and his continual progress in skill level. Gerry believes that painting a wide variety of subjects and using a variety of techniques keeps his work fresh and his interest high.

In addition to being published in Best of America, Gerry was twice honored to be one of the juried artists to have their work published in two full color coffee table books. The first book titled Northwest Artists was published in 2005 and featured many of Gerry's Native American paintings. The second was published in 2008 and was titled Artists of the West. It shows his Indian theme as well as figurative work. His art has also been featured in numerous Puget Sound publications.

Since attending art school in the 60's in California, Gerry has been a practicing professional artist participating in solo and group shows with other notable west coast artists. His art has also been featured in numerous galleries in the west ie; San Francisco Ca, Sausalito Ca, Santa Rosa Ca, Tombstone Az, Ocean Shores Wa, Langley Wa, and Superior Mt.

Today, Gerry's work is primarily displayed in juried fine art shows and his large studio-gallery in Coupeville Wa. He displays more than fifty original paintings, making it the place to see. If you are interested visiting Gerry at his studio-gallery simply call or email and make an appointment.
